【ルワンダ受講生インタビュー】Aimableさん「僕は『これはあのAimableが実装してるんだよ』と言われるようなエンジニアになる！」

ルワンダ受講生のAimableさんにインタビューいたしました。世のためになるシステムを作り、名前が語り継がれる大物になりたい夢を語ってくれました。

2019年7月に開校した、ディープロルワンダ校。ディープロ東京校から代表の野呂とメンターが1名、現地に渡航してプログラミングを教えてきました。

学習が進んで1ヶ月した頃に受講生インタビューを実施！Twiringiyimana Aimableさんにお話を伺いました。

学習の枠組みがあるので、困難なく進められる教材

ディープロでプログラミングを学んでみて、いかがですか？

How do you feel about this programming experience in ディープロ?

Aimableさん「ディープロでのプログラミングは、きちんとした学習の枠組みがあり、その枠組みに沿って行なえばいいので、思っていたほど難しくはなかったです。なので、簡単に進めることができ、進捗が『自分は目標や夢を叶えられるぞ』という希望に繋がります。」

Mr. Aimable “Programming at ディープロ is not as complicated as I thought before because it is like a framework and we have many guides. So, we can easily have our progress and progress gives us the hope that we will achieve our goals.”

プログラミングは難しいですか？簡単ですか？

Is programming fun or difficult?

Aimableさん「文章を読むのが好きであれば、難しくはないと思います。エラーが出た時に、僕はすぐにメンターに聞いてしまいますし、自らGoogle検索したりして解決することに慣れていません。もしメンターがいない場合、エラーの解決策を自分でGoogle検索などして解決できない限りは難しいと思います。」

Mr. Aimable “If you like to read documents, it is not difficult. Once you got an error, you can ask your mentor and we are not familiar with researches. If there is no mentor, it will be more difficult unless you have a spirit of researchers and are good at self problem-solving.”

あなたの国、ルワンダのために、どのようにプログラミングを活用したいですか？

How do you want to use programming for your own country, Rwanda?

Aimableさん「社会の仕組みを革新するようなプロジェクトなどで活用したいです。いろいろなシステムで改良すべきところがたくさんあります。しっかりとしたプログラミングスキルを身につけたら、国の発展のために、何かをしたいです。」

Mr. Aimable “I will use it in some projects that will innovate society. Because we have a gap in systems so if I had enough programming skills, I’d like to help my country to develop.”

国外の人と共に働くことについてはどのようにお考えですか？

How do you think about working with foreign countries?

Aimableさん「多くの国がルワンダより発展しているので、国外の人と働けるのはとても良い機会だと思います。もしルワンダ国内でしか働かないと、世界の労働市場に進出するのは難しいと思います。また、国外の人と働くことによって、より多くの経験を積めるし、とても大きな挑戦にはなるけれど、その挑戦によって成長もできます。」

Mr. Aimable “It is a great chance because many countries are more advanced than Rwanda. If I worked in Rwanda only, I don’t think I can catch the market. Also, I can get more experience by working with other countries and it will be a huge challenge to me but challenges grow me up.”

将来の夢は何ですか？

What is your dream?

Aimableさん「リッチになりたいです。貧しくはなりたくないですね。その気持ちのおかげで、いつも一生懸命働くことができます。お金持ちになったら、社会にとってためになることをしたいです。そして、『これはAimableが作ったんだよ！』なんて言われてみたいです。とにかく、社会に役立つことをしたいです。」

Mr. Aimable “I want to be rich. I don’t want to be poor. So that makes me work hard and if I become rich, I want to do things that have advantages for society and I want to hear someone saying this thing is implemented by Aimable. I wish to help society.”

ディープロに何か一言お願いします。

Please give ディープロ some comments.

Aimableさん「ディープロのプログラミング教育は、エンジニアを増やすことにつながる素晴らしいことです。オンライン学習ではなく、通学する場所があることはとても良いです。ただ、ひとつ欠点を挙げるなら、あるメンターに課題を見てもらい、良いと言われて提出すると、別のメンターが採点し、やり直しをくらうことです。メンターによって基準が異なるのはどうにかして欲しいです。」

Mr. Aimable “The project ディープロ is working here is good because it will give birth to many programmers. This course is not online. It has a base to stay and study, so this is a nice environment. However, the only concern is that even though one mentor said good for my assignment and I submitted, another mentor checks it and rejected it. They have their own standard for correction.”
