【ルワンダ受講生インタビュー】Stevenさん「僕はゲームチェンジャーになって、未来をより明るくする！」

ルワンダ受講生のStevenさんにインタビューいたしました。ルワンダの発展におけるゲームチェンジャーになる夢を語ってくれました。

2019年7月に開校した、ディープロルワンダ校。ディープロ東京校から代表の野呂とメンターが1名、現地に渡航してプログラミングを教えてきました。

学習が進んで1ヶ月した頃に受講生インタビューを実施！Mutabazi Shema Stevenさんにお話を伺いました。

プログラミングは問題解決のツール

ディープロでプログラミングの勉強をしてみて、お気持ちはいかがですか？

“How do you feel about studying programming in ディープロ?”

Stevenさん「ここでは問題解決能力のスキルを上げることができるので、とてもワクワクしています。というのも、プログラミングは問題を解決するのに欠かせないからです。ディープロでプログラミングを学べて、とても嬉しく思っています。」

Mr. Steven “I’m so excited because I can increase my ability to solve problems for people around. All you need to solve a problem is programming. And I feel very happy to be here.”

自国ルワンダのために、どのようにプログラミングスキルを活かしたいと考えていますか？

“How do you want to use your programming skills for your country, Rwanda?”

Stevenさん「私はゲームチェンジャーになりたいです。ルワンダはまだ発展途上ですが、日本はICTのおかげでとても発展した国ですね。ディープロで勉強し、経験を積んで、自分のプログラミングスキルを上げて、ルワンダのさまざまなことを変えていきたいです。新しい機会や新しい環境の創造などに携わりたいです。また、日本とルワンダの文化を融合して、いろいろなことを自動化することで、より進化していけたらいいなと考えています。」

Mr. Steven “I hope I can be a game-changer. Rwanda is still under development, and Japan is a good country because of the great impact of ICT. Studying here with more experiences, I hope it increases my professional skills and I want to change something in Rwanda like providing new opportunities or a new environment. I also think I can combine our cultures like Japan and Rwanda and go advance by digitizing things.”

多くの国々と一緒に働いて、自ら前進したい！

外国のエンジニアと一緒に働くことについてはどうお考えですか？

“How do you think about working with foreign countries’ developers?”

Stevenさん「外国のエンジニアから学べることは多くあるはずなので、とても良いことだと思います。自分たちがより前進するために、多くの国々の方と一緒に働きたいです。外国のエンジニアと働けることは、後悔することのない良い機会に間違いありません。」

Mr. Steven “I think it’s wonderful because we can learn a lot from them. I’m willing to collaborate with more countries to develop ourselves. I think it’s a good thing that we should never regret.”

プログラミングで明るい未来をもたらしたい

将来の夢を教えてください。

“What is your dream in your life?”

Stevenさん「技術によって何らかの問題を解決したり、改善することに関わりたいです。未来に何か良いことをもたらすリーダーになりたいです。」

Mr. Steven “I’d like to contribute to solving things or changing things by technology. I hope that I can become a leader who brings some good things in the future.”

ディープロに何か一言お願いします。

“Please give comments to ディープロ.”

Stevenさん「ディープロに参加する以前は、日本という国は知っていましたが、私たちのような途上国を助けようとする人々がいる素敵な国だということは知りませんでした。このディープロがルワンダで提供するプログラムは、言葉にできないくらい、とてもありがたいものです。ここではたくさんのことを学べるので、次のプロフェッショナルなキャリアを目指す僕にとって、本当に良い機会です。ありがとうございます。」

Mr. Steven “Before I joined ディープロ, I knew Japan but I didn’t know that Japan is such a good country that people are willing to help people like us, and it really means a lot to me. There are a lot of things I can learn here and it is really good since I hope my next career as a professional. Thank you very much.”
