【ルワンダ受講生インタビュー】Paulさん「夢は自分の会社設立！ディープロは学びと出会いの場！」

ルワンダ受講生のPaulさんにインタビューいたしました。ディープロで得られるものは知識だけではないことを教えてくれました。

2019年7月に開校した、ディープロルワンダ校。ディープロ東京校から代表の野呂とメンターが1名、現地に渡航してプログラミングを教えてきました。

学習が進んで1ヶ月した頃に受講生インタビューを実施！Kavuna Paulさんにお話を伺いました。

難しいことも、後々とてもおもしろくなってくる！

ディープロでプログラミングを勉強して2週間になりますが、お気持ちはいかがですか？

“You have been here for 2 weeks. How do you feel this programming experience in ディープロ?”

Paulさん「ディープロでは基礎を学ぶことができます。今はまだ知識が全然ないけれど、ここで勉強すれば、デキるエンジニアになれる気がします。このプロジェクトはとても有益です。」

Mr. Paul “We can learn basics here in ディープロ and now my knowledge is poor but if I studied here, I feel I can be a skilled developer. This project is very good.”

プログラミングは楽しいですか？難しいですか？

“Is programming fun or difficult?”

Paulさん「難しいです。でも難しいことも、後々とてもおもしろくなってくるんです。」

Mr. Paul “It is difficult but all the difficult things become very fun later.”

プログラミングで見えてきた未来への希望

プログラミングを自国のためにどのように活用したいですか？

“How do you want to use programming for your country?”

Paulさん「ここで力をつけた後は、いろいろなことに活用できます。僕の場合は、まず職を探し、自分の知識を駆使して、いろいろなことを自動化していきたいです。また、自分の会社を持ちたいという夢があります。その夢に向かって、設立資金を集めるためにたくさん働き、ゆくゆくは会社を設立したいです。」

Mr. Paul “After getting knowledge here, I can use it in many ways. First of all, I will search for my job and once I get a job I will implement everything I know. After that, I have a dream to create my own company so earn a lot of money from the first place I work and make funds for creating my own one.”

海外のエンジニアと一緒に働くことについて、どうお考えですか？

“How do you think about working with foreign countries’ developers?”

Paulさん「海外のエンジニアと働くのは、コミュニケーションを取るのが難しくなり、なかなか大変でしょう。ただ、今同じクラスで勉強しているクラスメイトともビジネスパートナーになれるのだから、望む人がいれば、僕が会社を設立するときに一緒にやっていきたいと思います。」

Mr. Paul “That would be so hard to communicate with others but even those who are in the same class here, we can collaborate if they want and we can be partners when I create my company. “

あなたが自社設立に成功したら、次に叶えたい夢は何ですか？

“What is your next dream after you successfully develop your own company?”

Paulさん「プログラミングを教えるということは大変素晴らしいことです。知識を持っているだけでは十分ではなくて、1番大切なことは、その知識を他の人とシェアすることにあります。だから、僕が会社を設立した後は、他の人にプログラミングを教える方法を模索したいですね。」

Mr. Paul “You are teaching us programming and it is a very beautiful thing. If you had knowledge, that is not enough. The most important thing is sharing what you know with others. So, after creating my own company, I’d like to find a way to teach programming to people.”

ディープロに何か一言いただけますか？

“Please give comments to ディープロ”

Paulさん「僕たちはとても多くのことを、とても短い期間で学んでいます。もし可能なら、もう少し受講期間を伸ばして欲しいです。最初の2週間を受講せずに、後から参加してきた人たちもいますが、その短時間でこれだけ多くのことを学ぶのは、本当にキツいことだと思います。ありがとうございました。」

Mr. Paul “We are learning a lot of things in a very short term, so if possible, please increase the span of the course. Some people even missed the first 2 weeks and they have an even shorter time. It must be a big challenge. Thank you very much.”
